By recognizing the reuse of health data for AI model development as a matter of “significant public interest,” the law establishes a new paradigm that promises to accelerate scientific research. Furthermore, by creating an autonomous legal basis, it legitimizes the synthesis of health data, paving the way for faster clinical trials, reduced evidence-production times, and more effective disease prevention strategies.
