Grants
Public funding received by Aindo in support of research, innovation, and growth.
European Innovation Council Accelerator
In 2025, Aindo was selected for funding by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator — Europe's flagship program supporting high-potential startups and SMEs with breakthrough technologies. Out of 1,211 applicants from across Europe, Aindo was one of only 71 companies selected, and one of just three from Italy. The €2.1M grant supports the scale-up of Aindo's generative AI-based synthetic data platform, with a focus on privacy-critical sectors such as healthcare and life sciences, enabling organisations to generate high-quality evidence while protecting sensitive patient data.
Aindo S.P.A.'s New Challenges in Artificial Intelligence
Under the PR FESR 2021–2027 programme (Call DGR 94/2024), Aindo received a grant for innovative and technological investments in support of enterprise digital transformation. The funding covered the acquisition of state-of-the-art IT equipment and infrastructure, with a specific focus on data security and computational performance. As the AI landscape evolves rapidly — introducing new paradigms that reshape machine learning architectures — Aindo's strategic goal is to continuously strengthen its platform to remain among the leading AI partners in both national and international markets.
SynthIA
Under PR FESR 2021–2027 intervention line A1.3.1, Aindo received a non-repayable grant for the development of a Proof of Concept. The funded project, named SynthIA, aims to build an innovative AI-powered platform capable of generating synthetic data — artificially created datasets that faithfully reproduce the statistical properties of real data while containing no sensitive personal information. The goal is to enable organisations to share, analyse, and enrich data more safely and efficiently, boosting digital innovation and competitiveness while ensuring full compliance with privacy regulations.
Photorealistic Fashion Model Generation via AI
Supported by the POR FESR 2014–2020 programme, this project focused on developing a generative AI system capable of producing photorealistic images of human figures and garments starting from rough sketches. Designed as a creative tool for fashion designers, costume designers, and stylists, the application leveraged deep learning techniques to generate high-resolution, colour-accurate outputs from minimal input. The project received a total of €96,464 in funding from the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia across two dedicated calls, recognising its significant cultural and creative value.
Support for Young Digital Enterprises in AI Services
Through the DGR 1404/2020 grant for young Venetian digital enterprises developing AI services, Aindo collaborated with CPI-Engineering to design and build an intelligent robotic system for the automatic processing of salted anchovies — one of the most labour-intensive and costly steps in the fish preservation industry. The solution combined advanced computer vision algorithms to detect and track fish anatomy with reinforcement learning to continuously optimise the mechanical parameters of cutting, filleting, and bone removal. The result was a fully automated pipeline that significantly reduced both processing time and operational costs.
