Aindo and IQVIA Italy sign strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of synthetic health data
Aindo and IQVIA Italy join forces to scale synthetic data adoption in the Italian healthcare ecosystem.
Aindo and IQVIA Italy have entered into a three-year strategic agreement aimed at accelerating the adoption of synthetic health data in clinical research and healthcare system governance.
As healthcare becomes increasingly data-intensive, the pressure to make data accessible, usable, and compliant is growing rapidly. On the one hand, data is essential to improving patient outcomes and enabling more efficient care pathways. On the other, the European regulatory landscape is evolving toward stricter and more structured frameworks for data use. Within this tension, privacy compliance and data governance often act as limiting factors rather than enablers of innovation.
This is where synthetic data is beginning to redefine the landscape. By generating data that preserves the statistical structure of real-world information without exposing personal data, it offers a new way to unlock value while maintaining strong privacy guarantees.
The collaboration between Aindo and IQVIA Italy is designed to unlock this potential by integrating complementary expertise and technologies. The agreement combines IQVIA’s experience in advanced data analytics, care pathway modeling, and healthcare governance systems with Aindo’s proprietary technologies for synthetic data generation and advanced anonymization, including natural language processing solutions.
The partnership will focus on four main pillars:
- the development and use of high-fidelity synthetic datasets capable of reproducing the statistical relationships of real clinical data, while preventing patient re-identification;
- the evaluation and optimization of care pathways through advanced digital tools for analysis and simulation;
- the support of healthcare governance through predictive models and “what-if” simulation scenarios;
- the development of fully privacy-compliant Real World Evidence solutions.
Through these initiatives, the collaboration aims to enable broader and safer use of health data, supporting new research models, improving decision-making processes, and contributing to the evolution of healthcare systems toward more predictive and personalized approaches.
More broadly, the agreement reflects a growing trend in the sector: the shift from limited data access models to frameworks in which innovation is enabled by technologies that structurally reconcile data use with the protection of individuals. In this sense, the partnership between Aindo and IQVIA Italy represents a concrete step toward building a more scalable, secure, and fully data-driven healthcare ecosystem.
